How We Helped:
Catholic Healthcare sought a Reconciliation Action Plan that would serve as more than just a document—it needed to be a meaningful and lasting representation of their reconciliation journey. Working closely with their team, we designed a visually compelling RAP that aligns with their values, incorporates authentic Indigenous artistry, and fosters engagement with First Nations communities. Through thoughtful design, storytelling, and the integration of Threads of Connection, we delivered a document that embodies Catholic Healthcare’s dedication to respect, inclusion, and collaboration.

Catholic Healthcare required a Reconciliation Action Plan that:
Clearly articulated their commitment to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Engaged employees, stakeholders, and communities in meaningful ways.
Incorporated Indigenous storytelling and visual elements to enhance cultural connection and representation.
Created a professional yet accessible design that would be used as an ongoing reference and guide.
-
Strategic Design & Layout: We developed a professional, structured document that balances informative content with visually engaging design, ensuring readability and accessibility.
Custom Indigenous Artwork: To authentically represent Catholic Healthcare’s reconciliation journey, our Creative Director, an Indigenous artist, created a bespoke Indigenous art piece titled “Threads of Connection.” Guided by Catholic Healthcare’s mission to promote dignity, life, and spirituality, this artwork reflects the shared journey of growth and unity.
About the Art – Threads of Connection The central element of Threads of Connection represents Catholic Healthcare’s commitment to nurturing the body, mind, and spirit of its residents and clients. Surrounding elements highlight the diversity of people and communities brought together by a common purpose. Journey lines and footprints weave a narrative of shared paths, guided by wisdom and enriched by a deep connection to Country. The tracks further symbolise respect for and engagement with First Nations people, aligning with Catholic Healthcare’s dedication to fostering relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders. This piece encapsulates the values within Catholic Healthcare’s Reconciliation Action Plan, honouring the strength found in connection, inclusivity, and a shared mission to enrich lives across all communities.
Visual & Cultural Integration: The document layout strategically incorporates elements from Threads of Connection to create a cohesive visual identity. By weaving Indigenous design motifs throughout, we ensured that cultural symbolism remains a strong, unifying presence.
-
The Catholic Healthcare Reconciliation Action Plan has been embraced as a vital resource, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to reconciliation. Key outcomes include:
Stronger Cultural Engagement: The inclusion of Threads of Connection ensures that the RAP is not only informative but also visually inspiring, creating deeper cultural resonance.
Enhanced Accessibility & Readability: A well-structured layout makes the document easy to navigate, ensuring its use as a practical and impactful guide.
A Lasting Symbol of Commitment: By integrating Indigenous art, storytelling, and strategic design, Catholic Healthcare now has a RAP that stands as a meaningful statement of respect, collaboration, and positive change.
Through this project, we helped Catholic Healthcare transform their RAP into a powerful tool that not only meets formal requirements but also celebrates cultural identity and connection, fostering an environment of ongoing learning, respect, and inclusion.
