Sacred Light: A Celebration of Connection

Client Overview

DFAT represents Australia’s interests internationally through its embassies, high commissions, and diplomatic missions worldwide.

  • The artwork needed to feel culturally respectful, celebratory, and suitable for global distribution, while aligning with the season and DFAT’s values.

  • Sacred Light centres on a gathering circle symbolising meeting, dialogue, and shared purpose. Reaching hands represent unity and reciprocity, while surrounding forms reflect movement, stories, and relationships across Country and borders. The warm palette draws from the richness of Country and summer light.

  • The artwork was used across Christmas cards, digital lock screens, and internal communications, offering a meaningful and culturally grounded expression of connection and goodwill.
