REGroup: Driving Reconciliation Through Sustainable Action

Smyth Studio partnered with REGroup to design a culturally respectful and visually compelling Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), featuring custom Indigenous artwork that reflects their commitment to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Client Overview

REGroup is a leading Australian company in the resource recovery and recycling sector. Their mission is to help communities and businesses transition to a wasteless society by offering innovative, sustainable waste management solutions across Australia.

  • REGroup required a Reconciliation Action Plan that would:

    • Clearly communicate their reconciliation goals, commitments, and internal actions.

    • Reflect the company’s values around environmental responsibility and social impact.

    • Feature authentic Indigenous artwork to visually express the RAP’s themes and cultural significance.

  • RAP Design: Created a clean, professional RAP document that integrates visual storytelling with clarity of content. The layout supports easy navigation and offers space for storytelling, action plans, and measurable outcomes.

Custom Indigenous Artwork: Developed a bespoke artwork that reflects REGroup’s connection to Country, community, and sustainability. The piece symbolises ongoing growth, renewal, and collaboration—key themes that align with both reconciliation and environmental care.

Design Integration: Worked closely with REGroup’s team to thoughtfully embed the artwork into the RAP design, ensuring cultural respect and visual balance throughout the document.

  • The final RAP provides REGroup with a powerful platform to share their reconciliation journey with stakeholders, staff, and communities. The inclusion of Indigenous artwork elevated the storytelling and demonstrated their genuine commitment to cultural respect and inclusion.
